Diagnostic Description

Hind tibiae with apical spurs; antennal flagellum with 8 distinct flagellomeres; ocelli present; eyes densely pilose; cell m3 of the wing always open; cell r5 open or closed and petiolate; legs prominently bicolored, femora black, tibiae and tarsi yellow; beard snow-white; abdomen shiny black with small tufts of silver-white hairs in the middle of tergites 2-5 and at the sides of tergites 2,5 and 6; sternites 2-4 with white lateral hair tufts.
