Distribucion en Costa Rica:
Distribucion General: Panama; Colombia.

Adults feed on nectar of flowers (males and females) and on the blood of mammals (females).

Immature stages unknown.

Hind tibiae with apical spurs; antennal flagellum with 8 distinct flagellomeres; ocelli present; eyes densely pilose; cell m3 of the wing always open, cell r5 closed or open; wings evenly tinted; legs pale yellowish brown; beard, pleura and abdominal sternites pale yellowish pilose, contrasting with the dark dorsal surfaces.
