Gerrhopilus oligolepis

Gerrhopilus oligolepis, also known as the few-scaled worm snake[2] or Wall's worm snake,[1] is a harmless blind snake species found in northern India and Nepal. No subspecies are currently recognized.[2]

Geographic range

Found in the eastern Himalayas in India in the area of Sikkim and Darjeeling[1][3] and in Nepal.[2] The type locality given is "Nagri Valley below Darjeeling [India] at an altitude of about 5000 feet."[2][3]

Gerrhopilus oligolepis est une espèce de serpents de la famille des Gerrhopilidae[1].

Répartition

Cette espèce est endémique d'Inde[1]. Elle se rencontre au Sikkim et dans le district de Darjeeling au Bengale-Occidental.

Description

L'holotype de Gerrhopilus oligolepis[2] mesure 140 mm. Cette espèce a la face dorsale brune et la face ventrale de même couleur mais plus pâle.
