Distribution: SE Cuba Anolis cyanopleurus cyanopleurus: northern Guantânamo Province and extreme eastern Holguin Province.
Type locality: Monte Verde, Guantánamo Province, Cuba; emended by Garrido, 1975, to "La Prenda," Yateras, Guantánamo Province, Cuba. Anolis cyanopleurus orientalis (HOLOTYPE IZ 1564): southern Guantânamo Province, from Punta Maisi to upper Rio Ovando. Altitudinal distribution 1000 ft. to 2000 ft.;
Type locality: vicinity of Punta de Maisí, Baracoa, Oriente province, Cuba.
