Anolis carolinensis (American Anole) is a species of Squamata in the family Dactyloidae. They are native to The Neotropics, The Nearctic, and United States. They are diurnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 50 mm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on gliding and running to move around.
