Verbesina encelioides (Golden Crownbeard) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Halictus ligatus, Vanessa cardui, Eufala Skipper, and Queen. Individuals can grow to 0.83 m.
