Weissia controversa (Controversial Weissia Moss) is a species of woody plants in the family Pottiaceae. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, GoiáS, Cerrado, Tocantins, SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Sul, North America, Paraná, Bahia, and Espirito Santo.
