Scyphosphaera apsteinii is a species of Haptophyta in the family Pontosphaeraceae. They are native to Santa Catarina, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Norte, Paraná, and Rio De Janeiro. Dead Scyphosphaera apsteinii form calcareous oozes.
