Test elongate, ovate in section, uniserial and rectilinear, chambers increasing in height as added from the globular proloculus, sutures arched across the broad faces of the test, margins rounded; wall calcareous, hyaline, finely perforate, surface smooth; aperture terminal, rounded, surrounded by a ring of low rounded knobs. Pleistocene to Holocene, tropical N. Pacific, western S. Atlantic. (Loeblich & Tappan, 1987, Foraminiferal Genera and Their Classification)
