Actinoptychus senarius is a species of diatoms in the family Heliopeltaceae. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Pernambuco, Bahia, Pará, Paraná, ParaíBa, Santa Catarina, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Norte, and Rio Grande Do Sul. Dead Actinoptychus senarius form siliceous oozes.
