Saelania is a genus of mosses in the monotypic family Saelaniaceae in subclass Dicranidae.^[1]^[2] The genus was previously placed in family Ditrichaceae.^[1]^[3] Saelania is named after Finnish botanist Thiodolf Saelan.^[4]
