Margins of median fins black (Ref. 2798); characterized by pale grey body color with three large dark brown blotches on side; head and body with faint brown scribbling; elongate and filamentous second and third dorsal spines; rounded caudal fin, slightly shorter than head; longitudinal scale series 29-30; head without scales; ctenoid body scales except cycloid on breast, base of pectoral fin and anterior part of abdomen; midline of nape without scales or 1-2 scales just before origin of dorsal fin; depth of body 3.2-3.4 in SL (Ref. 90102).

Amphidromous. Refers to fishes that regularly migrate between freshwater and the sea (in both directions), but not for the purpose of breeding, as in anadromous and catadromous species. Sub-division of diadromous. Migrations should be cyclical and predictable and cover more than 100 km.Characteristic elements in amphidromy are: reproduction in fresh water, passage to sea by newly hatched larvae, a period of feeding and growing at sea usually a few months long, return to fresh water of well-grown juveniles, a further period of feeding and growing in fresh water, followed by reproduction there (Ref. 82692).

Yongeichthys nebulosus és una espècie de peix de la família dels gòbids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[5]

Morfologia

Hàbitat

És un peix de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall.[6]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a Austràlia, Hong Kong, Indonèsia, el Japó (incloent-hi les Illes Ryukyu), Kenya, Madagascar, Malàisia, Moçambic, Nova Caledònia, Oman, Papua Nova Guinea, Samoa, les Seychelles, Sud-àfrica, Taiwan, Tanzània, Tailàndia i el Vietnam.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][7][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44]

Observacions

No es pot menjar, ja que és verinós per als humans: conté 28.7 µg/g de tetraodontoxina en els seus òrgans interns i 1.7 µg/g a la carn.[45]

Acentrogobius nebulosus es una especie de peces de la familia de los Gobiidae en el orden de los Perciformes.

Morfología

Los machos pueden llegar alcanzar los 18 cm de longitud total.[1]​[2]​

Hábitat

Es un pez de Mar y, de clima tropical y asociado a los arrecifes de coral.

Distribución geográfica

Se encuentra en Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, el Japón (incluyendo las Islas Ryukyu), Kenia, Madagascar, Malasia, Mozambique, Nueva Caledonia, Omán, Papúa Nueva Guinea, Samoa, las Seychelles, Sudáfrica, Taiwán, Tanzania, Tailandia y el Vietnam.

Observaciones

Es inofensivo para los humanos.
