These are the best I can do at the moment- there's something about them that doesn't take a flash so well, Still, I had fun! Hopkin describes it's gait as a tiny old man hunched up in a coat and it really does look like that! It's blind too. The dark patches on top of the abdomen are the four gut compartments, full of food. The resolution is at the limits of my set up, which is very frustrating.. I need more light and more magnification.. oh, and a Canon 5D mark iii please. Just to point out- these are all extreme crops of 10:1 and 11:1 photos.. As Frans points out, this is the UK's smallest springtail, at 0.25mm adult. These are mostly 0.2mm with the suspected juvenile at around 0.12mm. Seriously, unbelievably, camera hand-numbingly small.
