Castor fiber (European Beaver) is a species of rodents in the family beavers. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to the Palearctic. They are nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 300 months. They have parental care (paternal care, female provides care, and cooperative breeding). They rely on swimming to move around.
