Microtus oeconomus (Root Vole, Tundra Vole) is a species of rodents in the family cricetids. They are native to The Nearctic and the Palearctic. They are solitary, crepuscular herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 21.6 months and can grow to 116.04 mm. They have parental care (female provides care).
