Spermacoce verticillata (Shrubby False Buttonweed) is a species of shrub in the family Rubiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Saint Vincent And The Grenadines, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Maranhao, Amapá, The Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Santa Catarina, Saint Lucia, Brazil, Piauí, Guyana, Paraná, Pernambuco, Turks And Caicos Islands, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Paraguay, Tocantins, Venezuela, ParaíBa, Guatemala, Peru, GoiáS, Ceará, Roraima, Bolivia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Dominica, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Ecuador, Caatinga, Acre (Brazil), Rio De Janeiro, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, Mata Atlântica, RondôNia, Puerto Rico, Alagoas, Haiti, French Guiana, Costa Rica, Pará, Mexico, Belize, Suriname, Colombia, Cerrado, and Honduras. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Ceylalictus congoensis, Braunsapis bouyssoui, Lasioglossum mediocre, and Lasioglossum montanum.
