Galium ceratopodum is a glabrous annual low shrub that reaches up to 15-50 cm; with climbing stems. Leaves are linear-lanceolate, 0.5-1.8 x 0.2-0.35 cm and arranged in whorls of 6-8 leaves. Flowers are with rotate, whitish corolla and arranged in axillary, 1-4-flowered cymes. The fruit is of 2 globose, densely, and papillose mericarps.
