Eleocharis palustris (Common Spike Rush) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Greenland, North America, The Contiguous United States, United States, Alaska, Western North America, and Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 1.3 feet.
