Sabal palmetto is a species of tree in the family palms. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Middle America, United States, The Contiguous United States, Atlantic And Gulf Coastal Plain (Agcp), Eastern North America, and Florida. They have compound, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Sphex jamaicensis, Plinthocoelium suaveolens, Bombus impatiens, and Apis mellifera. Individuals can grow to 90 feet.
