Pouteria macrophylla is a species of tree in the family Sapotaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Mato Grosso, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Tocantins, GoiáS, Rio De Janeiro, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, Bahia, and Maranhao. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Individuals can grow to 21 m.
