Andaman Shrew

La musaranya híspida d'Andaman (Crocidura hispida) és una espècie de mamífer pertanyent a la família de les musaranyes (Soricidae)^[2] que habita a les Illes Andaman i Nicobar (Índia).^[3] El seu hàbitat pot haver estat afectat pel tsunami de l'Oceà Índic de 2004.^[3]

Die Andamanen-Stachelweißzahnspitzmaus (Crocidura hispida) ist eine seltene, kaum erforschte Spitzmausart aus der Gattung der Weißzahnspitzmäuse (Crocidura). Sie ist auf Middle Andaman Island in den Andamanen endemisch und nur vom Holotypus bekannt, der 1913 von Oldfield Thomas beschrieben wurde.

Merkmale

Die Kopf-Rumpf-Länge des Typusexemplars beträgt 85 mm, die Schwanzlänge 103 mm, die Ohrenlänge 13 mm und die Hinterfußlänge 25,5 mm. Das Gewicht ist nicht beschrieben. Das Rückenfell ist grau mit einer bräunlichen Verwaschung. Es ist nahezu borstig mit mehreren verbreiterten und abgeflachten Haaren. Die Haare der Rückenmitte sind ungefähr 8 mm lang. Das Bauchfell ist grau. Der Schwanz ist 20 Prozent länger als die Kopf-Rumpf-Länge. Er ist lang, dünn und mit deutlich ausgeprägten, langen Borstenhaaren bedeckt. Seine Oberseite ist braun, seine Unterseite ist weiß. Die Hände und Füße sind weiß. Die Seitendrüsen sind gut ausgeprägt.

Verbreitung

Die Terra typica befindet sich am nördlichen Ende von Middle Andaman Island. Die bekannte Gesamtfläche des Verbreitungsgebietes beträgt 42 km².

Lebensraum und Lebensweise

Die Andamanen-Stachelweißzahnspitzmaus ist eine nachtaktive Art. Sie bewohnt das Laubstreu in tropischen, immergrünen Wäldern in Höhenlagen von 100 m. Über ihr Nahrungs- und Fortpflanzungsverhalten ist nichts bekannt.

Bedrohung und Schutz

Die IUCN klassifiziert die Andamanen-Stachelweißzahnspitzmaus in die Kategorie „gefährdet“ (vulnerable). Für diese Art sind keine aktuellen Gefährdungen bekannt, jedoch könnte der Lebensraum beim Tsunami-Ereignis vom Dezember 2004 in Mitleidenschaft gezogen worden sein. Suchexpeditionen von Sujit Chakraborty und seinen Kollegen blieben bislang ergebnislos.^[1]

Crocidura hispida is een zoogdier uit de familie van de spitsmuizen (Soricidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd door Thomas in 1913.

Charakteryzuje się kolczastą sierścią na grzbiecie^[4].

Ryjówkowaty ten jest endemitem indyjskich Andamanów, gdzie ograniczony jest w swym zasięgu do północnej części Andamanu Środkowego^[2][4]. Żyje w ściółce wiecznie zielonych lasów tropikalnych, gdzie prowadzi nocny tryb życia^[2]. Stan populacji nieznany^[5][2].

W Czerwonej księdze gatunków zagrożonych od 1996 do 2008 roku miał status gatunku zagrożonego (EN), a od 2008 status gatunku narażonego na wyginięcie (VU)^[2]. Głównym zagrożeniem dla gatunku jest utrata siedliska, która może nastąpić zarówno w wyniku bezpośredniej działalności człowieka, jak i katastrof naturalnych^[5]. Jego siedlisko mogło zostać zniszczone w wyniku tsunami z 2004 roku^[2].

Crocidura hispida^[2][3] är en däggdjursart som beskrevs av Thomas 1913. Crocidura hispida ingår i släktet Crocidura och familjen näbbmöss.^[4][5] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som sårbar.^[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.^[4]

Denna näbbmus förekommer endemisk på de indiska Andamanerna i Indiska oceanen. Den lever där i låglandet. Arten vistas i tropiska städsegröna skogar och rör sig i lövskiktet på marken. Individerna är nattaktiva.^[1]

안다만가시땃쥐(Crocidura hispida)는 땃쥐과에 속하는 포유류의 일종이다.^[2] 인도의 고유종이다. 자연 서식지는 아열대 또는 열대 기후 지역의 건조림이다. 서식지 감소로 멸종 위협을 받고 있다.
