An aggregation of these spiders, on overlapping webs spanning a few metres across the space between some trees. They were in a range of sizes, and there were black-coloured ones (the melanistic form), and males, and egg cases.

Today it felt like i hit the jackpot - i spotted this little lady just over our fence. Lucky for me - we get on well with all our neighbours so it was no biggie to go over to get a shot. It's a shame that it is so breezy at the moment - these are the best i could manage.
