Philaenus spumarius (Common Froghopper) is a species of Cicadomorpha in the family spittlebugs. They visit flowers of Water Mint, blackeyed Susan, Queen Anne's lace, and field pepperweed. They are diurnal. Individuals can grow to 6.8 mm.
