Ratufa indica (Indian Giant Squirrel) is a species of rodents in the family Sciuridae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Asia. They visit flowers of Actinodaphne wightiana. They are solitary, diurnal omnivores. They have parental care (female provides care).

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
