Rattus norvegicus (Brown Rat) is a species of rodents in the family murid rodents. They are native to the Palearctic and China. They visit flowers of Bolivian fuchsia. They are crepuscular herbivores. Individuals can grow to 217 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (cooperative breeding and female provides care). They rely on running and swimming to move around.
