Priodontes maximus (Giant Armadillo) is a species of Mammal in the family Dasypodidae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are native to The Neotropics. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals are known to live for 180 months and can grow to 874.99 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
