Vážka pestrá (Rhyothemis variegata) je druh vážky z čeledi vážkovití, vyskytující se v Asii. Je zajímavá svými neobvykle pestře zbarvenými křídly.
Vyskytuje se v Indii, Srí Lance, Číně, Myanmaru, Thajsku, Vietnamu a na Tchaj-wanu.[2][3]
Vážka pestrá je středně velká vážka podobající se motýlu.[4] Křídla má pestře zbarvená se žlutými a hnědými průhlednými skvrnami. Nymfy jsou krátké a zavalité, na těle jsou hnědě vzorkované.[5]
Je slabý letec a může být snadno zaměněná s motýlem. Nevzdaluje se daleko od vody a často usedá na vegetaci.[4] Dospělé vážky létají po celý rok.[6] Vyskytují se v okolí bažin, rybníků nebo rýžovišť.[6]

Rhyothemis variegata,[2] known as the common picture wing[3][4] or variegated flutterer, is a species of dragonfly of the family Libellulidae, found in South Asia.[1][5]
It is a medium-sized dark bodied dragonfly with colorful wings tinted with pale yellow. There are a few black spots on the apices and nodes of the fore-wings. There is a large patch in the base of the hind-wings, marked with black and golden yellow. In females, the apical half of the fore-wings are transparent; basal half tinted with golden-yellow with black marks. The apical ends of the hind-wings are transparent; rest of wings marked with golden-yellow and black.[6]
It breeds in marshes, ponds and paddy fields. They appear to have weak flight and can easily be mistaken for butterflies.[6][7][3][4][8]
