Gyrosigma balticum is a species of diatoms in the family Pleurosigmataceae. They are native to SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, and Paraná. Dead Gyrosigma balticum form siliceous oozes.
