Phaethornis Swainson 1827

Phaethornis is a genus of birds in the family hummingbirds. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They visit flowers of Canistrum, Indian mallow, Esterhazya splendida, and lily of the Incas. They rely on flight to move around.
