Falco tinnunculus (Kestrel, Common Kestrel) is a species of Aves in the family Falconidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to the Palearctic, Ethiopia, and Asia. They are solitary, diurnal carnivores. They have parental care (occasionally breeds cooperatively, female provides care, and paternal care). They rely on flight and gliding to move around.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled. Permits or certificates should only be granted if the relevant authorities are satisfied that certain conditions are met, above all that trade will not be detrimental to the survival of the species in the wild.
