Solariella periscopia Dall 1927

Solariella periscopia is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Solariellidae.^[1] It is commonly referred to as the "look-around solarelle", and was first described in 1927.^[2]

Distribution

This species occurs in the Western Atlantic Ocean (North Carolina, the Bahamas),^[2] the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.

Description

The maximum recorded shell length is 3 mm.^[3]

Habitat

Minimum recorded depth is 46 m.^[3] Maximum recorded depth is 95 m.^[3]

Solariella periscopia is een slakkensoort uit de familie van de Solariellidae.^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1927 door Dall.
