Bathygadus favosus és una espècie de peix de la família dels macrúrids i de l'ordre dels gadiformes.

Morfologia

• Els mascles poden assolir 46,5 cm de llargària total.^[4][5]

Hàbitat

És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 770-2745 m de fondària.^[4]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a Mauritània, el Golf de Guinea, el Marroc, l'arxipèlag de Madeira, Ciutat del Cap (Sud-àfrica),^[6] l'Estret de Florida,^[7] el Golf de Mèxic i el Carib.^[4][8][9]

Bathygadus favosus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van rattenstaarten (Macrouridae).^[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1886 door Goode & Bean.

蜂巢底尾鱈，為輻鰭魚綱鱈形目鼠尾鱈科的其中一種，分布於東大西洋茅利塔尼亞至幾內亞灣；西大西洋墨西哥灣及加勒比海海域，屬深海底棲性魚類，棲息深度770-2745公尺，體長可達46.5公分，生活習性不明。
