Petromyzon marinus (Sea Lamprey) is a species of lampreys in the family northern lampreys. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Nearctic, United States, Mediterranean Sea, the Palearctic, Asia, and Atlantic Ocean. They are solitary herbivores. Individuals can grow to 120 cm. Reproduction is oviparous and semelparous. They have parental care (female provides care and paternal care).
