Gutierrezia sarothrae (Broom Snakeweed) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, United States, Canada, Western North America, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and The Neotropics. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and achene. Flowers are visited by Ashmeadiella, Hesperia leonardus pawnee, Parnassius smintheus smintheus, and Chauliognathus basalis. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
