Stomoxys calcitrans (Stable Fly) is a species of flies in the family Muscidae. They visit flowers of Wood Crane's-bill, Water Mint, (page not found), and sweet alyssum. They are solitary, diurnal carnivores. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on flight to move around.
