Colonial, massive, meandroid. Gemmation intracalicinal. Calicinal series forked, generally united by peritheca or exotheca. Ambulacrae present, narrow. Costosepta compact, non-confluent, covered by various types of granules such as spiniform, rounded, and paddle-shaped. Columella lamellar, discontinuous. Endothecal dissepiments abundant. No synapticulae. Wall parathecal to septoparathecal.
