Terminalia catappa (Tropical Almond) is a species of tree in the family Combretaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Madagascar, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Myanmar, Fiji, Taiwan, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, China, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Australia, Malaysia, The Philippines, India, Vietnam, and Cambodia. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Aldabra Flying Fox. Individuals can grow to 15 m.
