Ribes lacustre (Prickly Currant) is a species of shrub in the family gooseberries. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Alaska, Western North America, Canada, and United States. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Chrysotoxum. Individuals can grow to 7 feet.
