Aquilegia formosa (Western Columbine) is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Alaska, and Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Individuals can grow to 3 feet.
