Forficula auricularia (Common European Earwig) is a species of earwigs in the family common earwigs. They are native to Asia and the Palearctic. They visit flowers of bright-bead cotoneaster, Peach-leaf Bellflower, Rosa subcanina, and Japanese Thimbleweed. They are solitary, nocturnal omnivores. Individuals can grow to 12 mm. They have parental care (female provides care).
