Euonymus japonicus (Japanese Spindletree) is a species of shrub in the family Celastraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Asian hornet, Botanophila striolata, Pegoplata infirma, and Mud dauber. Individuals can grow to 4.7 m.
