Kigelia africana is a species of tree in the family bignonias. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Afrotropics. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Rousettus leschenaultii, greater short-nosed fruit bat, and Old World fruit bats. Individuals can grow to 22 m.
