Pteridium arachnoideum (Tropical Brackenfern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Dennstaedtiaceae. They are native to Bahia, Amazônia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Distrito Federal, Cerrado, Caatinga, Pantanal, Roraima, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, Pará, Pampa, Amapá, Minas Gerais, ParaíBa, Alagoas, Puerto Rico, Espirito Santo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Norte, GoiáS, and Mata Atlântica. They have bipinnate + pinnatifid leaves. They have alternation of generations.
