They are native to North America, Canada, United States, Alaska, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and Western North America. They have drupes. Flowers are visited by Andrena rufosignata, Honey bee, Orange-legged furrow bee, and Atalantycha bilineata.
