They are native to Guyana, El Salvador, Cuba, Costa Rica, North America, Paraguay, French Guiana, Peru, Suriname, Mexico, Bolivia, Honduras, Panama, United States, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, The Contiguous United States, Argentina, Trinidad And Tobago, and Venezuela. They have simple, broad leaves.
