Sterculia apetala (Panama Tree) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They are native to GoiáS, Amazônia, Pará, Cerrado, and Acre (Brazil). Flowers are visited by Honey-colored Fire Bee, Trigona fuscipennis, and Pectoral Robust-Stingless bee. Individuals can grow to 4.17 m.
