Libertia chilensis (Snowy Mermaid) is a species of perennial herb in the family Iridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Austroscaeva melanostoma and Diphaglossa gayi.
