Iris virginica (Virginia Iris) is a species of perennial herb in the family Iridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, blue flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Anthophora terminalis, Eurimyia stipata, Palamedes Swallowtail, and Common Eastern Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 3.3 feet.
