Hexasepalum teres (Poorjoe) is a species of tree in the family Rubiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Amapá, Pará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, RondôNia, Mato Grosso, SãO Paulo, Minas Gerais, Pantanal, Rio Grande Do Norte, Tocantins, Maranhao, Espirito Santo, Sergipe, Piauí, Roraima, Eastern North America, Cerrado, Pampa, Rio De Janeiro, GoiáS, Amazônia, Paraná, Bahia, ParaíBa, Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Acre (Brazil), Distrito Federal, The Contiguous United States, Pernambuco, Caatinga, and Santa Catarina. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Burnsius communis, Augochloropsis sumptuosa, Bat coronavirus, and small white.
