Tapura amazonica is a species of shrub in the family Dichapetalaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Distrito Federal, Amazônia, Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), GoiáS, Pará, RondôNia, and Mato Grosso. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 17 m.
